DESCRIPTION: EPW - Louis Audemars, Brassus & Geneva, minute repeater with chronograph, 55mm, very heavy 18K gold original HC with Jurgensen-style lips, front with an ornately engraved initial monogram, rear with an engraved cross with the number 23 at center surrounded by a garter with the initials "NGS" and "NY", gold cuvette, glazed observation cover over mvt, white enamel DS dial with outer chapter in 1/5-second increments, SW-shift-locking-LS, fully capped lever escapement, fully jeweled repeat train, fausses-cĂ´tes pattern nickel damascene, s#13368 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 98.4 dwt (153.8 g). The elegant engraving to the case rear is for the New York State National Guard, 23rd Infantry Regiment. CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, good repeat function and tone, good chronograph function, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, few small micro-fine scratches, small spot to center sweep-hand bridge, some oxide at portions of chronograph steelwork; near flawless dial with only small surface micro-fine scratches; near mint hands; case exterior shows very little wear, cuvette appears to have been polished possibly for inscription removal and has some rippling to its reflection, very slight flat spot and small hairline fractures to band surface at 11, slight ding to left perimeter of case front which is only evident to inner surface of lid, excellent engraving detail; gold bow, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystals.
